Spring - 2009

Landscape Stones - Our Highest Volume Product.

We make more custom designed landscape stones than any of our other product categories.   Most have been given as gifts or awards, but some have been ordered to enhance a landscape design.  Spring season is here and it's time to begin thinking about your 2009 landscaping plans.  Perhaps you might like to add a new look to your landscape, by including one of our custom designed stones in your plans.  When your friends ask 'where you got that,' just tell them it was a recent gift.  You don't have to say it was a gift to yourself.

Memorial Stones and Headstones - Lasting Memories.

A few weeks ago, one Friday evening, the phone rang around 7:30pm.  After a few minutes of conversation, it became apparent the person calling was looking for a memorial stone, and they needed it very quickly.  Their church's pastor, and his wife, had very recently lost their 10 month old daughter, and a memorial service was planned for the upcoming Sunday afternoon.  To add to the challenge, they lived approximately 3-4 hours away.  But, they were willing to drive here Saturday and pick it up, if we could get it done.  We started the process that evening by having them send an email describing what they had in mind. Later that same evening, we sent them some pictures of stones and couple of design prototypes.  After a couple more phone calls, we had completed, in a couple of hours, a preliminary design that normally that takes 3-5 days.  Saturday morning, after they had already begun their trip to pick up the stone, we finalized the design through another phone call.   Although this not our normal turnaround time, hopefully this story does demonstrate our commitment to do everything we possibly can, whenever you have special situation.

The following week we received this email.  " It was very touching for all those involved. I think the whole congregation was moved to tears when the [memorial] stone was revealed."  It's very gratifying, and we are honored to be asked to help with projects that have such a positive impact on the recipients.

Mothers Day - Fathers Day - Graduations - Weddings - Newborns.

These are a few of the gift giving occasions that customers have found appropriate for one of our custom designed stone signs.  Our gift stones are a unique way to remember that special person, or their special day.  In addition, we can personalize them with a graphic depecting the occasion or a hobby or passion.  We already have an extensive graphics library.  But if you are looking for something we don't already have licensed, for a nominal license fee, we have access to the works of some of the top graphics artists in the industry.   Click here to see more of our gift stone designs.

We have also begun doing some glass etching.  We have a limited inventory of the bevel edged crescent picture frames, shown in the picture at left.  We have them in three sizes for pictures 3 1/2" x 5", 4" x 6", and 5" x 7". Because we already have them in inventory, they are available for quick turnaround with our introductory pricing (which includes the etching) of $45, $50, $55, and $60 respectively.  Contact us for availability.

We also have access to one of the most extensive collection of crystal awards available in the country.  We haven't added this to our website yet, but if this is something you would like to learn more about, contact us and we will show you a catalog of available awards and pricing.

Memorial Day - May 25, 2009.

Memorial day is a time for honoring our fallen heros.  We would like to take this space to introduce you to one of our customers, and the project they have undertaken to honor our military heros.

The National Vietnam War Museum,  in Mineral Wells, Texas, is a project that was formalized in 1998, to develop a national venue that would create an atmosphere of learning about the Vietnam War era.  The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. as well as many other community and state memorials, have been established to recognize the sacrifice of the 58,260 that gave their lives, during that most unpopular and longest war the United States has been involved in to date.  These memorials, which have done much to aid in the healing of the wounds brought on by this conflict, do not provide an opportunity to reflect knowledgeably on the many other aspects of the era.

The National Vietnam War Museum is being designed to tell the unbiased story of the more than 5 million servicemen and women who served there; the civilian contractors who supported their efforts; the Vietnamese people, their culture and history; and those on the home front, both those who supported and those who protested the war.  If you would like to learn more about this very special project, click here to visit their website.

We are honored to have been selected to provide stone signs for several of their projects.  In addition, we have been selected to produce stone signs, that are placed in the Meditation Garden, recognizing all businesses, groups, or individuals who donate $250 to the museum.  So, if The National Vietnam War Museum is a project that has significance to you, we know they would appreciate your support.
